Fellow Old Xaverians and Associates
On Sunday 17th September at noon, we will be “unveiling” and blessing a new stone and plaque that COXA have commissioned to commemorate our Xaverian Brothers who taught, retired and died at Xaverian College Mayfield. The ceremony, which will be brief but religious-y, will be a few minutes and attendees will be able to acquaint or re-acquaint themselves with the buildings and grounds that were a mysterious million-miles-away from our own South London alma mater.
A reception of sorts will be held; totally informal, in our home, The Chapel. Wine (and beer) will be taken, and a bring-a-bottle protocol should keep me out of the poorhouse, however temporarily. Some nibbles (sorry) will also be available for the peckish amongus. (“Ireland for the Irish – Peckham for the Peckish!) There is plenty of parking space.
