Last Concordia - delivery teething problems
My aim was to get Concordia and the 125th Anniversary Badge to as many Xaverians as possible. I included the Badges with the Concordias [in the same envelope] as I felt most Xaverians have not been able to get a medal before the end of our 125th year.
I'd been to my local Post Office to check before I sent them out. They had put an envelope with the Concordia [and badge] through a "tester" letterbox and the weight and size were fine in Second Class post. I also "fixed" every badge in the centre pages of 200 Concordias with double-sided tape so they wouldn't move.
However, it would appear that there was a delivery problem!
Sorry to all those who got the £1.50 surcharge and had to be "summoned" to the Post Office to be "fined"... I hope the content of the Concordia [with the Badge ..retailing at £5] was worth it! I thought the £1.50 surcharge might have been by one "over-zealous" postal worker. Maybe Xaverians can email me with "yes I was surcharged" ..or "no, all was fine".

On a more encouraging note:
I have had a great response to "History 7 - the 1950s" ..possibly up to 100 viewed through the two Websites [online].
I sent out another 300 by "WhatsApp" - if you see such an email - please don't worry - no scams or viruses - it's from COXA.
WhatsApp" is just a way of transferring large files! If people want I could just direct you to the COXA website with a "link".
Of the 300 sent out to COXA Members emails 130+ were downloaded; therefore possibly 230 Xaverians read History 7; a great response.
Of the 50 Concordias I sent out by email, 25 were downloaded. Now, many might have read them off the Websites......or maybe people have waited for the "hard copy" in the post...but it is always a worry, when downloads don't happen, as after a week they disappear into "the ether".
So again I'll send those Concordias to the 25 who did not download and see if they email me a response....
Communication helps... it takes weeks to sort out an edition of Concordia - the "delivery" of it to you all should be the "simple bit"..sorry if that has not been the case for this edition!
There was also a move to a new "mailing list" for the envelopes - a few "glitches" here, some addresses corrupted..If this was "you" in any way please get in touch, by email - still searching for 40 email address of "Members".
Appreciate those who have transferred £5, £10 or £20 to COXA...if you want to donate something for the badge ..apologies for the£1.50 surcharge, but the Post Office gets that, not COXA!
