At the Memorial Mass held for Colin Garvey on Wednesday, 19th March at St Mary's, Moorgate, former principal of SFX, Stella Flannery, presented the Garvey family with a 'Colin Garvey Memorial' print set in a gold picture frame.

Beautiful in its design, it captures so well how Colin was shaped by his faith and devotion to others. In every one of the many roles he took on - Teacher, Head Teacher, Chairman, Governor, Chair of Governors, and Papal Knight - he gave his time, his compassion, and so much of himself to his community. His life was a quiet example of service, humility, and strength. But above all, it was Colin's kindness, his friendship, and the way he guided and supported so many of us that we will always hold in our hearts.
