What a tremendous season the football club have had.....

Gentlemen,

What a tremendous season the club had. The 1st XI promoted into the Premier division, the 2nd XI champions of Div 2 South, the 3rd XI overcoming a tough season and finishing mid table in Division 5 South, the 4th team promoted from Div 6 South and reaching two cup finals. The VETs finished champions too in fine fashion of the Southern Amateur Vets league. The club is in GREAT shape.

We also had success off the field, hosting yet more VIP club days at the clubhouse. Financially, we are also in very good order, thanks to players paying their annuals and match fees, as well as the diligence of our Clubman of the Year and treasurer Richard Williams. We can look towards the 2017/18 season in a very positive frame of mind. We also attracted a host of new players across the 5 sides last year, that have been a phenomenal success.

The captains have also been brilliant- leading each of the sides magnificently. They deserve huge praise and congratulations.

Despite being club Captain for two seasons now, I feel its the right time to step down and let someone else take the reigns, it has been a privilege and feel proud that the club is thriving. That said should anybody across the 5 sides wants to take on the challenge of being Club Captain, please drop me an email. Ideally, we'd like to get the position filled as quickly as possible so that pre-season friendlies, inter-club days and training can be organised and communicated.

As always pre-season will be communicated via email, your team captains and on Facebook (Follow Clapham Old Xaverians F.C).

Enjoy the summer, and we'll be in touch regarding pre-season before you know it!

Cheers chaps

Up the Clapham!

Macca
