It was reported in the Australian press on Friday, May 2nd....A hero jogger (Arthur) on the beach at the time assisted with the rescue after seeing the pilot wave out to him from the ocean.

He said the chopper had been flying low over the ocean and “then crashed just off the shore”.

He waded into the water to help pull the female passenger from the aircraft, noting the passengers were not “in a good way”.

“The passengers were in shock and couldn’t walk. The pilot could walk but seemed beat up,” he said.'
