The usual back four, marshalled by Sam in goal, provided a solid foundation, while Ashley dictated play in midfield with his customary composure. Harty anchored the attack, supported by the electric pace of wingers Andre and Aren, with Cillian leading the line up top. Clapham’s counter-attacking flair overwhelmed Bank of England, who struggled to cope with the hosts’ relentless energy. Bank of England had a lot of success in the first half but on the stroke of half-time, Cillian opened the scoring, slotting home his fourth goal in four games.
The second half saw Andre take centre stage, first dropping a shoulder to power a shot past the keeper for 2-0.
The third goal came from a mix-up between Bank of England’s goalkeeper and a defender, leaving Andre with the simple task of rounding the keeper to make it 3-0.
Andre sealed his second consecutive hat-trick with a clinical finish, latching onto a through ball and rounding the keeper again to complete the 4-0 rout.
