What did YOU do in the WAR [COXA] Dad?

With all the fabulous memories and celebrations of the Two Great Wars this Summer, I'm appealing for the help of the "Older" Old Xaverians.

I need the Association’s help [as usual] This message is “directed at the “older” Old Boys”, if you don’t find that title insulting! I implore the generation that might have some Second World War memories to share them with me; to write, email or even ring me [I’ll take dictated notes]

They can be anecdotal, good or bad, funny ones are always readily received. Do you have any tales of South London in WWII, or of your primary school or the College, or of any involvement in the Forces yourself or family members? Family memories or evacuation stories would be good too. Any photos or clippings or mementoes, I promise, would be copied and safely returned.

My deadline is the end of the 1st WEEK of JULY;

WRITE TO ME at: 70 THE DRIVE, BECKENHAM, KENT BR3 1EQ

or you can always EMAIL me; dmacdonald441@virginmedia.com

Or ring me in the evenings [after 7pm] if you can’t be bothered to write on 0750 800 1217

Many thanks in anticipation of your responses; I have already written to a dozen Xaverians, and had some fabulous stories back, that need to been shared with a wider audience.
